1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Verdct ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Verdct.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The staking features of our Service involve real money, and you must comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction regarding online transactions and gaming.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• You may not use another person's account without permission
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. The Service

Verdct is a platform where users can:

• Post situations seeking advice from the community
• Provide responses and advice to other users' situations
• Stake money on responses they believe will be helpful
• Report outcomes and receive payouts based on results

5. Stakes and Payments

5.1 Staking

• Stakes involve real money and are non-refundable once placed
• Minimum stake amount is $1; maximum is $100 per response
• You may only stake funds that have been deposited into your account
• Stakes are final and cannot be modified or cancelled

5.2 Payouts

• Payouts are distributed when situation outcomes are reported
• Winning stakes share the losing stake pool proportionally
• A 10% platform fee is deducted from the losing stake pool
• Payouts are credited to your account balance

5.3 Withdrawals

• Withdrawals are processed through Stripe Connect
• Minimum withdrawal amount may apply
• Processing times depend on your bank and region
• You are responsible for any applicable taxes on winnings

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting content, you grant Verdct a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

6.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Contains hate speech or discriminatory content
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains malware, spam, or fraudulent material
• Violates the privacy of others
• Is sexually explicit or pornographic
• Impersonates another person or entity

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Manipulate outcomes or engage in fraudulent activity
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or bans
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Collude with others to manipulate stake outcomes

The Service and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by Verdct and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verdct and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Any funds in your account at termination will be handled according to our withdrawal policies.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or class action.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
